Older shelter pets need love (and adoptions) too!

In fact, I was just talking with one of our clients the other day about how much work puppies can be, and how nice it is- especially if you have other demands on your time, like human children- to adopt a pet who already knows the rules and is a little more mellow. Plus, you often get the benefit of literally saving a pet's life, since older pets are often slated for euthanasia in shelters. 

Of course, adopting an older pet also means you have to be aware of any behavior problems he or she may have, but everything in life comes with trade-offs, right?
