Dr. Diego Sanchez, DVM
Dr. Diego Sanchez was born and raised in Nambe, NM. He grew up on his family's dairy farm, Rancho Las Lagunas, where he developed a passion for the human-animal bond and experienced first hand, the benefits that animals bring to all aspects of human life. Growing up, Diego was active in animal husbandry through 4-H.
Diego attended New Mexico State University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. He was then accepted to and earned his Doctorate degree in 2012 from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
Diego's professional interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and theriogenology (reproduction) in small and large animal species. He also has a strong interest in complementary medicine and is a certified acupuncturist for all animal species.
In his free time, Diego enjoys working on the family farm, home brewing, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and all their pets. Diego has a Labrador named Maggie, a 3-legged dog named Shiver, and a puppy named Cash. And don't forget his favorite cat, DJ.
